Family Shepherd was proud to sponsor the 18th Annual Chilifest on November 11th, supporting Kansas City area seniors and raising thousands of dollars for the Alzheimer’s Association – Heart of America Chapter and our local veterans at the Jack Ray Post 5789, VFW. Over 30 teams participated, with hundreds of eager chili lovers showing up, including Seniors from around the metro. We appreciate the Kansas City Comets coming out to support Chilifest and Alzheimer’s awareness (see photo below). They were crowd favorites!
With this year’s Chilifest being such a huge success, raising money for KC area seniors, the Alzheimer’s Association has agreed to make the 19th Annual Chilifest an official Longest Day Event! Family Shepherd’s founder, Ben Rao, recently joined the Leadership Board of the Alzheimer’s Association. He is committed to raising funds and awareness for those impacted by dementia in our community.
The 19th Annual Chilifest is set for September 21, 2024, and will be the biggest and best one yet! NEW for 2024 – local breweries will be participating! Exciting details and announcements are soon to come! Stay tuned to the Family Shepherd website and social media for more information. You can also follow along at https://bridgespace.us/chilifest/.
