Family Shepherd brings holiday music to Seniors in Kansas City
Each year Lee's Summit based, Family Shepherd and Bridge Space sponsor a holiday concert targeted to bring a little holiday cheer to seniors that are living at home or in senior living. The Lee's Summit Jazz Orchestra with the help of sponsors host a holiday to our concert in December on the stage at Bridge Space, Eastern Jackson County largest business incubator and coworking space (BridgeSpace.us ). Family Shepherd helps to promote the LSJO throughout the year, but takes a step further by streaming the concert live to the YouTube channel so seniors can enjoy the concert live or replay the concert anytime to offer a little Christmas cheer to seniors. It's a great opportunity for activities directors to provide some live local music which can be played in the activity center of any Senior Living Care community. .
Family Shepherd helps to stream holiday cheer to Assisted Living in Kansas City and beyond
The idea came from Family Shepherd's founder, Ben Rao, who's always making an effort to put smile on a senior's face, especially during the holidays when they may not have visitors. In 2023, the annual concert was streamed to over fifty Senior Living care communities providing Independent Living, Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, or memory Care services throughout the Kansas City metro.
